From September 5th to 9th, the Kerona team attended the course on Ecological Risk Assessment (ERA) of Plant Protection Products: Current Situation and Future Developments, held at the Department of Life Sciences of the University of Coimbra in Portugal.
The course covered aspects related to ecological risk assessment of non-target organisms, including birds and mammals, aquatic organisms, non-target arthropods, soil organisms and non-target plants, TK/TD modelling and assessment of Endocrine disruptor substances.
News, challenges and future directions for ERA for plant protection products were presented at several sessions promoting fruitful discussions, including contributions from Silvia Pieper from UBA, Germany and Lorraine Matby from the University of Sheffield. Thanks to the lectures and organizers for their excellent work and contribution to the event.
