New guidance document on Risk assessment for Birds and Mammals entering into force on October 1st, 2025
The new Birds and Mammals Guidance has been officially endorsed and will enter into force on October 1st, 2025. This is highly anticipated news for those involved in the evaluation and registration of Plant Protection Products (PPP) within the European Union.
The revised Guidance Document will apply to dossiers submitted from October 1st, 2025, onwards, in the context of (renewal of) approval of active substances and in the context of (renewal of) authorisation of PPP under Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009. However, applicants have the option to adopt the revised guidance earlier if desired. The implementation schedule can be found here.
