Fruit Attraction 2023
On the 3rd and 4th of October Dr Irene McGrath and Diego Medina attended the fifteenth edition of Fruit Attraction in Madrid. Fruit Attraction is the main fruit and vegetable fair in Spain and is one of the biggest events in the sector at European and global level. The event brought together experts from all agricultural sub-sectors, from technology companies showing their cutting-edge advances in sorting and packaging machinery to the world’s leading fruit and vegetable export companies.
The fertiliser sector was well represented by well-known companies from the sector and a multitude of start-ups. CAAE, the only official CE notify body in Spain, was also present, where they explained during a simplified conference the intricate process of obtaining the CE marking according to the new FPR law. It should be noted that the trend at European and global level among fertiliser companies is the development of biostimulant products mainly based on microorganisms and natural extracts.
