Kerona Scientific attended Expocida Iberia 2024 on February 15th and 16th at IFEMA in Madrid.
This two-day gathering brought together experts, organisations, and professionals from the pest management and environmental health sectors.
The central theme of this year’s Expocida was changes in the regulatory framework. As industry adapts to this changing landscape, it is crucial for participants to understand the latest guidelines, compliance requirements, and innovative solutions.
One particularly interesting presentation covering the changes in EU regulations was made by Guillermo Díaz Alonso, Technical and Regulatory Affairs Director at ADELMA (Asociación de Empresas de Detergentes y de Productos de Limpieza, Mantenimiento y Afines).
Guillermo outlined the changes in the labeling requirements according to CLP and the new CLP requirements for endocrine disruptors and persistent substances.
The presentation also covered the Green Claims Directive as one of the strategies for the European Green Deal, as well as the upcoming revision of the Biocide Regulation.
In summary there are many changes and new considerations on biocide products that need to be implemented to keep products up to date and ready for the future.
