Submission of FPR certificates and decisions in Belgium by end of 2025
In accordance with Articles 6.9, 7.2.(b), 8.9, 9.5 and 11.(b) of the Fertilising Products Regulation [FPR] (EU) 2019/2009, manufacturers, authorized representatives and distributors placing fertilising products on the Belgian market or importers and distributors who package or repackage an EU fertilising product must submit documentation to the Federal Public Service (FPS) Public Health Food Chain Safety and Environment – Directorate-General Animal, Plant and Food (DGAPF) – Plant Protection Products and Fertilisers Department. The FPR documents required to be submitted to the Belgian authority are:
- The EU declaration of conformity and (where applicable)
- The EU type-examination certificate (Module A1 or Module B) or
- The quality system approval decision (Module D1)
The aim of this transmission is to provide an overview of the production of fertilising products on the Belgian market in order to identify potential risks to the safety of the food chain. Initially, the information gathered will be compiled for statistical purposes.
Please submit these documents before the 31st of December 2025 by email to: fertilisingproducts@health.fgov.be with the subject title: Tradename, PFC Number and Module letter.
